Her Father is dead.
Her Mother cannot care for her.
Since 6 months of age she has been alone. Never Knowing the comfort of a hug from someone who loves her. Standing alone peering out of the window without hope. She is only 2 years old.
Her story is not unlike the nearly 1.5 Million children abandoned by their families in Russia. Most have parents, but their parental rights have been revoked because they are unable to care for the children due to poverty... alcoholism... drugs and abuse. Even though communism fell in Russia, many are unable to find work leading to desperation and despair. The children are left alone and forgotten.
The children end up in the streets. Many find their way eventually to a shelter where they soon are assigned to an orphanage. Many for the remainder of their young childhood and adolescence. 60-70 new orphanages are opened each year. The people of Russia are doing all they can with great love and concern. But there is little money. The Project Anna Foundation is dedicated to the lives of these babies, infants and children who have not been forgotten. With a "mustard seed" faith we move forward. Specific dedicated aid within the orphanages of Russia throughout all 11 times zones. One on one as we become one family. With direct contact within the country as we strive to help with medicine, supplies, clothing, education and so much more. We are now working within multiple regions with many orphanages as we begin to reach out to every single baby home throughout the entire country of Russia.
These children are Gods children and they will not be forgotten.
